clustering deeper here, more lonely there, arranged by intellect's breeze,
much like rust colored snowflakes, creating layers and drifts upon the landscape,
like an image imagined in a cloud, Nude 8 takes form.

A chunk of stone, much like a puppy at a pound, awaits the right person to claim it
as his own. The sculptor, with chisel at the ready, begins the take away process.
Unlike those that work in clay, material removed cannot be replaced. His vision, hidden in that chunk of ordinary rock, seeks revelation. He is able to brush aside the veil of stone and bring to our eyes a creation, once only seen the minds eye of the artist who works this magic in stone.
